How do bullies target students ?

Being or looking different attracts a bully

 

Bullies pick their victims. They are drawn to students who appear weak, look different, are shy, quiet, and withdrawn. They often pick students who are smart, wear glasses and are overweight. Bullies pick victims with traits they consider a fault. Many acts of bullying are unreported. Fear of reprisal from a bully allows unreported acts to continue. Many students live in fear of going to school each day because of bullying.
